The Escape Artist
Tips for the aspiring escape artist
- Your objective is to survive for the indicated number of turns. But that alone is not enough - you'll also need to guarantee that you have a way to escape afterwards. On each board, you note the cell you end on.
- On each turn, you may move to an adjacent cell, attack an adjacent enemy, or wait. When you attack, you do not move. All entities can attack adjacent creatures regardless of movement restrictions.
- Every creature can be killed in one hit, unless otherwise mentioned. This also includes you!
- Your foes will generally try to get closer to you, provided they can reach you from their current position. On each turn, they will move to an adjacent cell in a way that brings them fewer moves away from you. Take special care when predicting the moves of creatures with movement restrictions, such as raiders or creatures that are restricted to specific terrain. Foes that cannot reach you will instead wait.
- If an enemy has more than one cell to move to which would bring it equally closer to you, it will choose randomly.
- Enemy moves and environmental changes are executed after you make your turn.
- When you enter a cell containing an item, it is automatically collected.
- Additional tips can be found in the appropriate external resources.
